  • Something significant is happening in cardiology. Cardiologists are reclaiming their independence. Not in small numbers. In significant, accelerating numbers we are seeing physicians who chose employment, felt what it cost them, and decided the trade-off wasn't worth it. CardioOne CEO Jasen Gundersen broke it down on the SCALE Healthcare podcast. What the movement looks like. Why now. And what it actually takes to make independence sustainable in today's environment. If you're an employed cardiologist who has been thinking about this, this episode is for you. 🎙️ Watch the full conversation: https://lnkd.in/eE45vB24 #IndependentCardiology #PhysicianIndependence #Cardiology

  • October is National Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month. Here's what makes sudden cardiac arrest different from every other cardiac emergency: It doesn't warn you. No chest pain. No shortness of breath. No moment to call for help. Just a heart that stops suddenly and electrically, without announcement. 350,000 times a year in America. Fewer than 1 in 10 survive. The cardiologists best positioned to change those numbers aren't the ones in the largest systems. They're the ones who know their patients well enough to catch what's coming before it arrives. Who monitor continuously. Who act on the early signals that a less connected physician would miss entirely. Independent cardiology saves lives in ways that never make the headlines. #SuddenCardiacArrest #IndependentCardiology #Cardiology

  • World Heart Day. Let's be direct. 20 million people die from heart disease every year. It is the single leading cause of death on this planet. And the cardiologists best positioned to change that number are not the ones absorbed into large health systems seeing 40 patients a day. They are the independent cardiologists who have the time, the tools, and the relationships to practice cardiac medicine the way it was meant to be practiced. Preventively. Personally. Continuously. Because winning the fight against heart disease doesn't start with a hospital system. It starts with a cardiologist who knows their patient's name. On World Heart Day, that's the future we're building. 💙 cardioone.com #WorldHeartDay #Cardiology #IndependentCardiology

  • To the cardiologist who's been thinking about independence for longer than they'd like to admit. The medicine was never the question. The operational complexity was. The payer contracts. The technology. The staff management. The revenue cycle. The feeling that doing it alone would mean doing all of it alone. It doesn't. CardioOne exists specifically for this moment, the one where a talented cardiologist is ready to stop practicing inside someone else's system and start building something of their own. We handle the business. You practice the medicine. The only question left is when. 📩 cardioone.com/contact #PhysicianIndependence #IndependentCardiology #Cardiology

  • Scale is no longer optional in cardiology. The complexity, the capital requirements, the operational infrastructure are needed for independent practices to compete. The question has never been whether to get it. The question is who that scale is actually built around. Private equity builds scale around the investment. Around the return timeline. Around the exit. CardioOne builds it around you. Around your practice. Around your patients. Around your ability to lead long-term without surrendering the autonomy you went independent to protect. In less than six months partnering with CardioOne, Dr. Gilani's group launched with 12 providers, opened two locations, and grew from 6,700 to more than 17,000 patients. Scale built around the physicians. That's the only kind worth having. 📩 Ready to talk about what that looks like for your practice? cardioone.com/contact #IndependentCardiology #PhysicianLeadership #PrivatePractice

  • It started with a piece of paper. In 1816, a French physician named René Laennec was struggling. He needed to listen to a young patient's heart, but the traditional method of pressing an ear directly to the chest wasn't working. So he did something simple. He rolled up a sheet of paper into a tube, placed one end on the patient's chest, and listened through the other. What he heard was clearer than anything he'd experienced before. That rolled piece of paper became the stethoscope. The single most iconic instrument in the history of medicine. Still in use more than 200 years later. Still in the pocket of every cardiologist practicing today. Here's what the story of René Laennec actually teaches us: The greatest innovations in cardiology don't start with technology. They start with a physician trying to do better by one patient. That instinct to find a better way because a patient needs it, is the same instinct that drives every independent cardiologist we've ever partnered with. It's also the instinct that built CardioOne. We saw physicians who deserved better tools, better infrastructure, and a partner who understood that medicine is always personal before it's anything else. Laennec's stethoscope started with a piece of paper and a patient. Everything meaningful in cardiology starts the same way. #Cardiology #MedicalHistory #IndependentCardiology
