Engineer by trade.
Writer by choice.

Writing about what actually works in production. Cloud systems, agentic AI, and the engineering decisions behind both.

Kumar just got a four percent raise. His manager called it visibility. He is good at the work, he loves the work, and none of that showed up on the number. A book for the senior engineer who keeps getting nudged toward management and isn't sure he's allowed to want something else.

About
Lavkesh Dwivedi

Forward deployed engineer and AI lead. Fifteen years in, I design and ship agentic AI systems for regulated industries like finance, insurance, and healthcare across GCP, Azure, and AWS, with a focus on distributed systems and the reliability decisions that only look obvious after production proves them wrong.

Blissful Bytes is where I write to think: trade-offs that resist clean answers, the distance between what documentation promises and what systems actually do under pressure.

I also wrote The Visibility Tax, a book about staying an individual contributor on purpose in a career built to push you into management.

I also do academic research. Different discipline, different standards of evidence. I find the contrast useful.

Connect

Open to conversations about engineering, AI systems, and research. Always happy to connect with people working on interesting problems.
