    Today at Google Cloud’s Gemini at Work event, we announced Gemini, a new single universal agent for work that has all of your business context and can be used for everything from knowledge work to answering questions, and content creation to coding, all from a single prompt box.  It’s built around core architectural principles: ✔️ Unified Agent: Gemini can answer questions, do knowledge work and generate code from a single prompt box. ✔️ Access: Gemini is web-based and can be accessed from any device and integrated into third-party applications. This summer, Saloni worked in Google Core — the team responsible for building the foundational computing systems that keep Google’s products running. Her project centered on building an artificial intelligence-powered agent that can organize infrastructure change requests and flag potential risks. By automating complex change management, her project sped up planning timelines and freed up time.     Project Suncatcher is our moonshot exploring whether we can one day host machine learning infrastructure in space 🚀 To do so, we need to know whether our AI hardware can operate in orbit. Can our TPUs handle the physical stress of spaceflight and the radiation and thermal extremes of space? These are the questions Google researchers have been exploring for the past few years.     Today, we're expanding access to SynthID Detector in partnership with OpenAI NVIDIA, Kakao, and soon Apple as part of an industry-wide effort to make AI-generated content more transparent. Since launching SynthID in 2023, we've watermarked more than 180 billion images and videos and 240,000 years of audio content. Now, we're expanding access to SynthID Detector — our verification portal to identify AI-generated content — to everyone globally in English, making it easier for anyone to easily check if an image, video, or audio file was made with AI from Google or our partners. Want to check if a media file was created using AI? Here’s how: 1️⃣ Go to synthid.com and upload an image, video, or audio file 2️⃣ The portal scans the media to detect if the file contains a SynthID watermark This portal joins our built-in verification features across Search, the Gemini app, and Chrome, which now regularly handle more than 1 million verification requests daily — all part of our ongoing work to give you more context about the media you see online, so you can navigate the web with confidence.     New research shows how Google Earth AI can help communities address public health crises more quickly and proactively. Why this matters: Forecasting where a disease outbreak might spread next usually requires weeks of stitching together fragmented satellite imagery, census tables, and local health records. We’ve worked with partners to test a system that combines environmental signals with foundation models and a prototype Geospatial Reasoning agent so that public health teams can query complex planetary datasets in plain language. This enables researchers and public health officials to close critical data lags and address crises faster. One example: During the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), our partners at the World Health Organization’s Regional Office for Africa used this technology to uncover transmission blind spots faster. They used our Geospatial Reasoning agent prototype to map areas where exposure risk and human mobility are high. In minutes, the team pinpointed 48 exposed settlements and located more than 45,500 at-risk people — a process that normally would have taken weeks. Equipping health leaders with advanced predictive tools can better protect at-risk communities, and help shift emergency response from reactive management to proactive prevention.
