Do you want to be a cog in the machine, or be the one who builds it? That's the question Timothy Wong's Data and AI team at Airwallex poses to anyone considering joining them. And on his team, you don't have to choose between the two. They're solving problems the industry hasn't figured out yet: evaluating AI without ground truth, orchestrating agents across regulated global markets. They're also rethinking how growth actually works. And they own the outcomes, not just the implementation. Kai is live, Airi is shipping, and architecture decisions land on the CTO's desk. If you're looking to build, this is worth reading 👉🏻 https://lnkd.in/gXTYZhUV

AI has moved past just being an "assistant", now it acts. At Airwallex Shift on 21 October, we're bringing together speakers from Google, SpaceXAI and Replit to unpack how agentic AI is rewiring the way businesses scale. Moderated by our very own Laura Spencer. Request a ticket here 👉 https://lnkd.in/e84DvBhE

Introducing the Agentic Banking Hackathon. We’ve been adding more agentic capabilities to Airwallex and now want to see what you could build on top of them. Come give agents access to financial infrastructure, then build something useful on top of it. Treasury, reconciliation, spend, payouts, FX, or something we haven’t thought of yet. We’ll bring the best teams to San Francisco for Demo Day, with a pool of $100K in prizes & credits up for grabs from Visa, Claude, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Coinbase, Metal, T:0, Base44. Applications are now open: airwallex.hackerearth.com

🎥 New case study just dropped: Arsenal Football Club x Airwallex. As Arsenal's Official Finance Software Partner, we're helping the club give supporters everywhere, from Emirates Stadium to the other side of the world, one payment experience that just works; hold, spend, and take payments in the currencies fans actually use, with local payment methods built in. Hear from Arsenal's CRO, Omar Shaikh, and watch how Arsenal and Airwallex are building a more localised hospitality payments experience for a truly global fanbase 👉 https://lnkd.in/gagP-SRF

I wrote about something we’ve been talking about internally for a while: The Agentic Banking Era. There’s been a lot of attention on agents buying things for people, and rightly so. But I think there’s another really big use case inside companies: agents managing more of the money itself. For that to work well, the agent needs the full context of the business and financial infrastructure it can actually act on. We’re already starting to see pieces of this at Airwallex, so I wanted to put down how I think it plays out from here. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/euR3ZBME

Meet the new Airwallex Business Accounts 👋 Your entities, accounts, balances and currencies now live in one connected view. Instead of jumping between accounts to figure out where money sits, you can see the whole picture and manage it from one place. Oh, and one more thing.. Now that everything is connected, your AI agents can work across it more easily through AgentOS, our toolkit for AI agents, within the rules and approvals you set. Much easier to see where your money is, and do something about it!

At many tech companies, owning a product usually means writing strategy docs and defending a roadmap. Dan Kim found a different setup when he joined Airwallex from Coinbase. In his second week at Airwallex, our CPO gave him one instruction: skip the memo and ship a working product using our APIs. He recently wrote about what that actually looks like. As AI agents start initiating transactions on their own, the old plumbing won't hold up, and the most important product decisions in agentic finance haven't been made yet. Whoever solves this first, sets the industry standard for the next twenty years. If you're a senior product builder, Dan's post is worth your time 👉🏻 https://lnkd.in/gG-9MGUt #LifeAtAirwallex

In analytics, speed means nothing if the data is wrong. Airwallex's Head of Strategic Data Science and AI, Firdevs Abacioglu, breaks down exactly how our data team is building AI agents to handle research, surface signals, and run first-pass analysis, so our scientists and economists can focus on the work that actually requires human judgment. This means the bar for what gets published stays high. Read her full take in Built In's latest feature on how our tech teams are moving fast and building smart 👉🏻 https://lnkd.in/eGhCKdp3
