“I had the opportunity to work with Naiyarah during the CAIDP Clinic, and I can say with full confidence that she demonstrated an exceptional level of commitment, intellectual rigor, and professionalism throughout the entire experience. From the beginning, Naiyarah approached the Clinic with seriousness, discipline, and a clear sense of responsibility. She consistently showed strong engagement with the research process, high attention to quality standards, and a genuine commitment to understanding the broader implications of AI governance, policy, and responsible implementation. Her participation reflected not only academic strength, but also maturity, consistency, and the ability to operate effectively in a highly demanding and international environment. What stood out most was her capacity to engage with complex AI policy issues in a thoughtful and structured way. She showed a strong ability to connect governance, ethics, public policy, and real-world implementation, which is exactly the kind of perspective needed in today’s global AI landscape. Her work during the CAIDP process reflected alignment with the values that matter most in these discussions: accountability, human-centered AI, democratic principles, and responsible innovation. Naiyarah also brought a collaborative and respectful presence to the cohort. She was receptive to feedback, committed to continuous improvement, and clearly invested in producing work of high quality. That combination of openness, rigor, and perseverance is not easy to find, and it made her a very valuable part of the Clinic experience. Beyond her technical and research contributions, Naiyarah showed the type of leadership potential that is increasingly relevant in international conversations around AI governance, including those linked to CAIDP, UNESCO-related principles, and broader global policy frameworks. She carries herself with professionalism and purpose, and she understands that working in AI policy is not only about knowledge, but also about responsibility. I highly recommend Naiyarah for any global opportunity related to AI governance, responsible AI, policy research, international collaboration, and strategic initiatives at the intersection of technology and public interest. She has the commitment, the discipline, and the mindset to continue growing into a strong voice in this field.”

A Multilingual Dataset (MultiMWP) and Benchmark for Math Word Problem Generation
IEEE Transactions on Audio, Speech and Language Processing
We created a large, multilingual dataset for Math Word Problems (MWPs).
This dataset, the largest of its kind, includes nine languages, six of which are low-resource. Low-resource languages lack extensive digital data, making AI development challenging (think Assamese or Sinhala). Our work enables Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate MWPs, even in these less-studied languages.
