🧵 Made by hand. Built through skill. Shared with pride. Recently, the #LSDS (Livelihoods Skills Development Sector) Product Fair in Cox’s Bazar brought together creativity, craftsmanship and opportunity. From handcrafted products created by members of the Rohingya and Bangladeshi communities in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasan Char to visitors who came to explore and value their work, the fair gave makers an opportunity to transform their skills into tangible products. And the result? visitors high interest, engagement in conversations, and shared feedback. IOM - UN Migration’s Social Cohesion, Rohingya Cultural Memory Centre, Women-led Projects and Women Participation Projects teams joined the fair to showcase these products, developed through skill development activities implemented with partners and supported by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, EU in Emergencies, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Japan - The Government of Japan, and The World Bank Group. Behind every product is a person who learned a skill, practised it and made something of their own. That is worth celebrating. To every artisan: your skills are worth sharing and your work deserves to be seen.
