Hi, my name is Jason Thai. I'm a senior finance recruiter Hayes and this is my story. So did I always want to do recruitment? Not at all. I started psychology because I wanted to make a difference in people's lives and I never thought recruitment was in my career pathway and at all. During my interview at Hayes, I was asked what did I want to do with my psychology degree? My answer was simple. I wanted to help people. At that moment, I realized recruitment helps people every single day, whether it's helping candidates take a next step in their careers or clients find the right talent. Requirement is fast pace and constantly changing the training. A haze gave me a strong foundation in recruitment and business. I get to speak to different people and face challenges every day. What has stood out to myself is the culture and support. Coming into a new industry, I wasn't expected to know everything. Everyone was willing to teach me as well as share their knowledge to help me grow. Looking back, the biggest surprise has been how invested Hayes has been in my success and development in and outside of my work. Don't limit yourself to the career pathway you originally thought your degree will take you. Keep an open mind and be willing to explore new opportunities. If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and making a genuine difference in people's lives, recruitment is a career that is well worth considering.
