We are proud to invest $10 million in the Nashville Symphony, helping reinstate its 2026–27 season and bring musicians and staff back to the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. As we build our new headquarters on Nashville’s East Bank, we’re committed to supporting the institutions that make this community such a vibrant place to live, work, and connect. https://lnkd.in/eUmmt8DA

While this is a generous gift, it’s simply a band-aid. The Nashville Symphony has had a huge structural deficit for years. It’s all in their 990s online accessible to anyone who wants to review them. Did the board and administration truly not see this coming?! This moment was both inevitable and yet completely avoidable. If you review the publicly accessible 990s online from the orchestra, you will see a $51 million structural deficit that has accumulated since at least 2011. This is more than double their average operating budget over the same time period. Where they are getting only a $10M problem I haven’t a clue.

Thank you Oracle for your vote of confidence and profound investment in the Nashville Symphony and our city!

The Nashville Symphony is one of the true cultural treasures of our city. As an avid attendee, I cannot thank you enough for helping ensure that our community can continue to experience this extraordinary institution and all that it brings to Nashville. Well done!

Thank you Oracle. Welcome to Nashville. You are going to be such a great addition to our city.

Now that’s how you invest in the community you move into. Well done.

This is an amazing way to become part of the Nashville culture. Although I'm in the 'commercial' side of the music business, I was on the commitee that helped build the Schermerhorn Symphony center. Our symphony is a treasure. Thanks for saving it!

Sorry to say this, but I'd appreciate it if you invested more in Oracle Support engineers.

This is amazing! I’m very glad to see how the corporate sector understands the need for Performing Arts experience for the benefit of our communities and the economy as a whole!! Bravo!! Can we ask which are the conditions for this 10M investment? How do you see the Nashville Symphony contributing towards your own goals as a company? And which kind of things are you interested in seeing in the orchestra after this investment?

More companies should invest in the arts that give their communities a soul.

A win for Nashville. But as a retired Oracle employee, I’m repulsed that the Meta’s, Oracle’s, Salesforce, etc., who made their billions in the San Francisco Bay Area, don’t support the San Francisco Symphony, Opera or Ballet. These Titans of Tech Industry have basically taken their billions and ran.
