Regional Key Account Manager

We are seeking a dynamic, driven, and personable go-getter who’s ready to join a rocket ship and do whatever it takes to grow a beverage brand. This is a key sales position for the company and reports into our Sales Director.


Roles & Responsibilities:


Sales Development & Management

  • Build and maintain value added customer relationships and achieve key KPIs and goals
  • Gain distribution with new accounts and expand existing accounts.
  • Regularly interact and plan with key accounts virtually and in person to ensure distribution, ordering, programming, execution, brand familiarity, staff trainings, and proper visibility
  • Develop and manage relationships with brokers, distributors (UNFI, KeHe, DSD), demo manager/brand ambassadors and merchandising agencies through meetings, scorecards, dashboards and clear, consistent communication
  • Create and deliver effective fact-based sales presentations to key retailers, distributors and brokers by leveraging data into insights to drive distribution, promotional effectiveness and overall profitable sales growth
  • Plan & execute pricing, promo and retail marketing strategies for key accounts to drive volume & velocity goals within trade spend guidelines
  • Attend trade shows, retailer and distributor shows as needed


Data Analysis & Forecasting

  • Review and analyze syndicated data, distributor shipments and retailer POS data to track and improve brand velocity and assortment, plan and evaluate promotions, etc.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform decisions, improve performance and monitor/analyze competitive market conditions
  • Develop and deliver against key retailer and distributor strategic plans: accurate sales forecasts, effective promotional plans, post promotion ROI analysis, efficient trade spend
  • Maintain authorization grids, promo contracts and trade plans in various company platforms


Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing to co-create effective 360 customer/distributor support plans that drive short and long term velocity growth
  • Contribute to company sales projections for assigned customers to inform production and avoid out of stocks


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in fast moving CPG sales and a passion for wildwonder
  • Proven territory management, communication, presentation and analytical skills
  • Direct experience selling to regional key accounts. Examples might nclude Kowalski’s, Lund’s & Byerly’s, Woodmans’s, HyVee, Harmon’s, PCC, New Seasons, other regional natural/specialty/grocery chains)
  • Strong broker management skills
  • Experience managing and working with UNFI/Kehe at the regional level
  • Strong analytical and fact-based selling skills - experienced and confident using syndicated data (SPINS, NIQ), retailer POS and distributor data and platforms to identify insights and build a compelling custom sell-in or review story
  • Proficient with using TPM’s (i.e. Confido) for planning and deductions management
  • Highly motivated, resourceful, curious with a proactive, persistent mentality - willing to do what it takes to achieve success
  • Ability to collaborate, inspire and motivate external and internal partners to win for wildwonder
  • Prior startup and non-alcoholic beverage experience preferred; experienced in navigating uncertainty and working with cross-functional teams in a high-growth environment
  • Proficient in Google Suites (Google Sheets, Google Docs, Gmail), Slack, Excel, Microsoft Word, UNFI Insights, KeHe Connect, retailer POS portals, experience utilizing SPINS data preferred
