General Manager

Our client, a growing packaging manufacturer, is seeking an experienced General Manager / Operations Manager to lead a high-volume manufacturing operation and play a key role in the company's continued expansion. This position will have overall responsibility for production, maintenance, quality, warehousing, safety, and continuous improvement, while driving operational performance and supporting future growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets are achieved.
• Lead and develop department managers across production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain functions.
• Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, process improvements, and performance management.
• Manage plant financial performance, including budgets, labor costs, capital projects, and operational metrics.
• Partner with executive leadership to support growth strategies, capacity expansion, and customer satisfaction.
• Foster a culture of accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Previous leadership experience within packaging, converting, printing, plastics, paper, food manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Strong understanding of plant operations, maintenance, quality systems, and supply chain management.
• Experience leading large teams and driving measurable operational improvements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage KPIs, budgets, and cross-functional departments.
