SSC Services For Education

Leadership is about more than managing a team. It's about setting the standard, leading by example and creating an environment where people can do their best work. That commitment was recently recognized at Longview ISD, where SSC Services for Education Unit Director Sedrick Brown was honored during the district's Board of Trustees meeting with Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Shepard's EMBR-ACE Award. The award recognizes staff members who exemplify Achievement, Customer Service and Excellence through their daily work and leadership, and recipients are personally selected by Dr. Shepard. Sedrick was recognized for his hands-on leadership and the dedication he demonstrates alongside his custodial team each day. Congratulations, Sedrick, on this well-deserved recognition and thank you for making a difference every day. And by the way - Great photo! #SSCServicesforEducation #Recognition #Excellence #Partnership

Today is all about our teams. 💚 On Custodian Appreciation Day, we’re celebrating the incredible team members who show up every day for our schools, students and each other. Across our partner schools and universities, our custodial teams do so much more than care for buildings. They are part of the campus community, building relationships with teachers and staff while taking pride in creating clean, safe spaces that support learning every day. Their work is seen in the details, felt across campuses and valued by the communities they serve. To every custodial team member across the country, thank you for everything you bring to our schools, colleges and universities. Today, we celebrate you. Happy Custodian Appreciation Day! 👏💚 #CustodianAppreciationDay #SSCServicesForEducation #PeopleCompany

Yesterday was a special day at China Spring ISD. Our team had the opportunity to drop by the classrooms of three first-year teachers for a Clear the List celebration. 💚📚 What started as a regular school day quickly turned into a few unforgettable surprises as each teacher received classroom supplies from their Amazon wish lists. Moments like these are what Clear the List is all about. Helping first-year teachers start the school year with the resources they need while celebrating the incredible work they're already doing in our partner schools. 🎥 KWTX News joined us for the surprise! Every classroom starts with a vision, and this year, we helped more than 100 first-year teachers bring theirs to life.🍎📚 Through our annual Clear the List initiative, our teams purchase and deliver classroom supplies directly from teachers' Amazon wish lists, investing more than $45,000 this year to help first-year educators prepare their classrooms for students. Every wish list was different, reflecting the unique students, teaching styles and learning environments found in schools across the country. We're grateful for the opportunity to play a small role in helping teachers bring those classrooms to life. This past weekend, SSC welcomed facilities and operations leaders from Arizona State University to Texas A&M University for a behind-the-scenes look at campus operations and a weekend centered on connection, collaboration, and shared learning. Guests toured Kyle Field, learned more about Texas A&M’s approach to facilities management and the Aggie Works platform.   Thank you to our partners at Texas A&M and Arizona State University for the opportunity to learn from one another, strengthen relationships, and continue raising the bar across higher education facilities operations. #HigherEd #FacilitiesManagement #CampusOperations #SSCServicesForEducation #EducationFacilities
