“It’s so much better to have a helpful resource for hard times. When I receive the diapers, I feel happy. It’s a help. I can have food for my family.” Last week, during National Diaper Need Awareness Week, Cradles to Crayons Philadelphia hosted a diaper distribution event, helping ensure families have access to the essential supplies they need. Together, volunteers, donors, and community partners helped distribute more than 1.7 million diapers and wipes to support 23,000 children through 119 partner organizations across the Greater Philadelphia region with support from Cuties First Quality. The impact is best understood through the words of the families we serve: “I got the diapers and wipes, and I can save money for other things, like bills, food, heat, everything else. I have a better life.” When we invest in families, we strengthen our communities—and that is a responsibility we all share. 5 years, 37 million diapers, 17 million baby wipes, and countless families supported. Since 2021, we’ve partnered with Cradles to Crayons to help end diaper insecurity—donating a portion from every Cuties® diaper case sold along the way. We're incredibly grateful to our team, customers and partners. Their everyday choices have made this milestone possible. This National Diaper Need Awareness Week, we're celebrating this impact and looking forward to all that's still to come. This summer, Keith and William got a firsthand look at what makes #FirstQuality run. Keith, a Procurement Intern out of Anderson University (SC) dove into pulp commodity markets, vendor relationships, and cost-savings strategies—getting real exposure to the deals and data behind the scenes. William, a Process Engineering Intern from The University of Georgia, spent his time in Macon, GA learning how engineering translates from the classroom to the plant floor, and how every department relies on the next to keep things moving. Their takeaway? No dull moments, and a whole company that feels like one connected machine. Thank you both for bringing your curiosity and hard work to FQ this summer. We're grateful to have had you on the team! Want to build your own story with First Quality? This summer looked different than anything I have done before. I was not handed a project list. I was handed responsibility. I checked our ticket system, found problems on my own, talked to other departments about their pain points, and figured out solutions. Some days that meant optimizing warehouse operations. Other days it meant showing up to a different site entirely and jumping in wherever I was needed. I also made it a point to learn. I asked questions. I asked if I could shadow other departments. I asked if I could get hands on with PLC programming. Nobody handed me those opportunities. I went and found them. On top of all of that I completed my OSHA Safety Training Institute 10 hour safety certification and got First Aid and CPR certified this summer. I am grateful to be at First Quality that invests in its people and trusts them to take initiative. That trust means everything to me. On to the fall rotation. Finishing strong. #Automation #Engineering #PLC #Manufacturing #CoOp #ClemsonUniversity #FirstQuality #OSHA #Red #JBTMarel
