  • Skipping lunch isn’t a badge of honor! #ad And the new Lunch Report from ezCater has the stats to prove it... 🎥 I went to New York City to do nearly 30 TV interviews across the country with ezCater. I talked about their *new* 2026 LUNCH REPORT, which surveyed 1,000 workers about their LUNCH HABITS. Here are some key stats from the Lunch Report... 🥗More than half of workers skip lunch at least once a week. 💻Nearly 1 in 3 say their company culture makes it hard to step away for lunch. 😬nearly 80% of lunch skippers say they get HANGRY, and skippers report less focus, more mistakes, and working more slowly. 🙌8 in 10 say taking lunch away from their desk improves their job performance. 👥 There’s a loneliness problem: more than 60% eat lunch alone, while more than half say they’d prefer to eat and connect with their coworkers. 👉Bottom Line: LUNCH is a huge opportunity for employers to build connection AND improve productivity. Here are 2 things employers can do to support healthy LUNCH HABITS... 1) PROTECT IT: Encourage employees to block 30 minutes on their calendars and actually take lunch. 2) PROVIDE IT: Offer catered meals. ezCater makes it easy to order and manage food for any size workplace, whether that’s a one-time team lunch or recurring meals. As a Registered Dietitian, I know that lunch isn’t just a break from work, LUNCH IS FUEL FOR BETTER WORK. 🔗 Spread the word: Eat lunch! • 🚨 THE 2026 LUNCH REPORT IS HERE! 🚨 Turns out, the lunch break is in trouble. More than half of workers (54%) skip lunch at least once a week, a number that's climbed for four years straight. We surveyed 1,000 full-time workers to find out why. A few things that stood out: 🕐 Only 36% of employees step away from their desk for lunch every day, yet 80% say that a break boosts their performance 😤 79% feel "hangry" at work, and 40% admit hunger leads to more mistakes 👥 Gen Z and millennials are 117% more likely to feel pressure to skip lunch despite loving it the most Bottom line: lunch isn't just a nice-to-have. It's tied to focus, mood, and how people actually experience their workday. 👉 Read the full report: https://bit.ly/4hKpK0i

  • 🍽️ Catering a group event for the office? Here's how much food to order per person (so you stop over/under-ordering). Getting this wrong is one of the easiest and most expensive planning mistakes. The fix: know your per-person portions before you order. The baseline rule: 1 lb of entrée per 3-4 people, plus 4 oz of sides/apps per person. Quick portions by cuisine: 🌮 Tacos: 2/person | Burritos: 1/person 🍢 Skewers: 2/person 🍗 Fried chicken: 3 pieces/person 🍣 Sushi: 8-10 pieces/person (~1.5 rolls) 🥪 Sandwiches: 12 per 10 people 🍰 Dessert: half your headcount (cut bars/brownies in half!) 3 questions to nail your estimate: 1️⃣ What's the cuisine? (Heavier food = fewer sides needed) 2️⃣ What's the event? (Holiday party ≠ quick team meeting) 3️⃣ How long will it run? Meetings and trainings → keep it simple, ~1 item/person. Parties → go bigger with apps + multiple sides. The goal: every guest leaves full, nothing ends up in the trash, and your budget stays intact. #catering #perperson #office #event

  • Nonprofit leaders: if you're still chasing receipts and calling caterers to prove your tax-exempt status, there's a better way. Here are our best practices for ordering tax-exempt catering: 1. Confirm your status first. Have your IRS determination letter (501(c)(3) or equivalent) ready before anything else. 2. Know your state's rules. Federal exemption ≠ automatic state sales tax exemption. Every state is different. 3. Remember: delivery location rules. Tax liability is based on where the food is delivered, not where your HQ sits. Ordering catering to a Texas event from a New York office? Texas rules apply. 4. Always pay with organizational funds. Paying personally and getting reimbursed later almost always voids the exemption even with the right paperwork. 5. Know the exceptions. Alcohol, service charges, and auto-gratuities are rarely tax-exempt, even on a qualified order. 6. Submit documentation to every new caterer. Most will keep it on file after the first time, but you need to provide it upfront. 7. Keep audit-proof records for 3-6 years. Exemption certificates, invoices, and proof of payment for every order. The good news? We can help! Once you upload your documents into our corporate portal your tax-exempt status is saved for all future orders. Less time on paperwork, more time on what really matters. #ordering #taxexempt #catering

  • "Hispanic heritage is not one story, and that's something worth celebrating together." That's how Pilar Yesares Rubi, Senior Analyst, describes what Hispanic Heritage Month means to her and it captures exactly why Somos Sabor exists at ezCater. Somos Sabor's mission is to elevate Latin cultures and voices across the company, giving members a place to celebrate traditions, lean on one another, and grow through mentorship. From shared meetups to cultural celebrations, the group makes room for the many different backgrounds, countries, and stories that fall under Latin culture. We're grateful to everyone in Somos Sabor who took the time to share their perspectives. Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! 💛

  • Setting up a recurring weekly team lunch program sounds like a project. It shouldn't be. Here's what companies need to nail when setting one up: 1️⃣ A set schedule + subsidy — pick a cadence and a per-person credit ($12–$15/meal is the sweet spot), and adjust anytime. 2️⃣ A curated restaurant rotation — variety that's matched to your team's dietary needs and location. 3️⃣ Individual ordering — everyone picks their own meal, no admin guessing headcounts or individual tastes. 4️⃣ Automated reminders + billing — cutoff notifications go out on their own, and everything rolls up into one invoice. 5️⃣ Visibility into what's working — a dashboard for spend, participation, and top restaurants. Meal Program by ezCater covers all five, so lunch runs itself while you focus on everything else on your plate What's your best tip for keeping a recurring team lunch program running smoothly?
