Since joining the BCC team a little over a year ago, Maria has become an invaluable member of our À la Carte operation. When we were short-staffed and her family was facing a personal challenge, Maria stepped up and worked additional hours without hesitation. Her dedication and strong work ethic are truly admirable. Maria is incredibly committed to her work and often goes above and beyond, so we sometimes have to remind her to take a well-deserved break, grab a bite to eat, and head home. With her positive attitude and willingness to learn, Maria has expanded her culinary skills tremendously over the past year, mastering everything from pasta, stocks, sauces, and soups to butchery. We congratulate our Director of Finance Chris for receiving the Exceptional Leadership Award. Chris continues to grow as a leader and has done a great job leading our IT team over the past year. In early July, both of our IT Professionals left around the same time. Without hesitation, Chris stepped up to keep everything running smoothly until we found new team members. He came in early, stayed late, and worked nights and weekends, and all while still doing his regular job and being a new dad. Chris didn’t complain or look for recognition; he simply did what was needed to support the Club and his team.
