Process simulation is essential to safe, efficient process design. But teams are under increasing pressure to evaluate more scenarios and reach decisions faster. The limiting factor isn’t engineering capability. It’s workflow fragmentation: models, assumptions, and engineering data scattered across disconnected tools and files, driving rework and delays. So how can engineering leaders modernize simulation workflows without disrupting delivery? Here’s a practical, phased approach to building more connected, reusable, and scalable simulation workflows: https://okt.to/x2cE9Q

We are supercharging our energy and industrial intelligence portfolio. For AVEVA, 2026 has been a year of acceleration. Monday's announcement of the acquisition of PTC by Schneider Electric marked another major milestone in building our world-class industrial software franchise. As Olivier Blum commented on the planned transaction, “By connecting and contextualizing data across the lifecycle of products and assets, we will create a unique digital thread for the next generation of #IndustrialAI, helping customers to optimize their systems with greater intelligence from design and build to operate and maintain.” Software is increasingly embedded in the physical world, whether in industrial robots, medical devices, vehicles or critical infrastructure. As a result, engineering, operational and service data are key to the context industries need for decision-making. PTC’s capabilities in CAD, PLM, ALM and SLM extend visibility from product design and engineering through software development and service management. Combined with AVEVA's ability to connect industrial operations and applications with real-time insight, along with Cognite's knowledge graph and AI agents (transaction pending regulatory approvals), we can provide a unified data fabric across products and machines, processes and energy systems. By bringing together and contextualizing information across these domains, we can enable a range of new use cases for our customers to deliver greater efficiency, productivity, resilience and sustainability. This is the intelligence foundation for the AI-powered industrial operations of the future.

What makes a great AVEVA World presentation? The strongest stories go beyond the technology. They show a 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲. Great examples were shared by our 2026 Sustainable Impact Award winner, Calcamite & 4Sight OT Automation, and finalists Vianode & Goodtech and Enel Green Power, showcasing how technology can drive meaningful sustainability impact across different industries. Now, we're looking for the next great stories to bring to #𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗩𝗔𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 𝗶𝗻 #𝗡𝗮𝘀𝗵𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲. The world is entering a new era of Energy and Industrial Intelligence, driven by the convergence of the New Energy Landscape and the acceleration of Digitalization & AI, fundamentally reshaping customer needs. As industrial AI moves beyond digital applications and is increasingly embedded in physical products and machines, processes and energy systems, new opportunities are emerging across the lifecycle. That is why today, I’m excited to announce that Schneider Electric has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PTC, a global leader in complex industrial product design, engineering and data management. PTC adds product design and engineering expertise and a critical product and engineering data fabric to Schneider Electric’s existing foundation of process and energy data. By connecting and contextualizing data across the lifecycle of products and assets, we will create a unique digital thread for the next generation of Industrial AI, helping customers optimize their systems with greater intelligence from design and build to operate and maintain. Together with AVEVA and the capabilities we expect to add through Cognite, we will establish a unified digital thread fueled with a contextualized AI Data Foundation across products & machines and processes & energy systems, bridging the physical and digital worlds across the lifecycle and accelerating Energy and Industrial Intelligence. This is an important step forward in our ambition for Schneider Electric to lead the new era of Energy and Industrial Intelligence and deliver greater value to our customers, employees and shareholders. Thank you to the teams across Schneider Electric and PTC who are making this possible. https://lnkd.in/gTw37TQ2

As part of our #ActionForGood initiative, our team in #Hyderabad recently conducted an interactive soft skills training session at Government Junior College, Patancheru. It was inspiring to engage with the bright and ambitious 11th & 12th-grade polytechnic students through this session, focusing on essential workplace and career-readiness skills. What stood out most, was the students’ enthusiasm, curiosity, and active participation. Their thoughtful questions and eagerness to learn created meaningful discussions and provided a valuable opportunity to share real-world industry insights. Key focus areas of the session included: ✅ Effective communication ✅ Interview preparation ✅ Workplace etiquette ✅ Teamwork and collaboration ✅ Personal and professional development These initiatives reflect AVEVA's values of collaboration, care, and purpose, alongside helping young learners build confidence, develop critical soft skills, and prepare for successful careers. #TeamAVEVA colleagues around the world can use three paid days of leave each year to support the causes that are important to them. Software is energy infrastructure. When it comes to accelerating the energy transition, software and physical energy assets belong on an equal footing. This is the thrust of my new op-ed in the FT’s Sustainable Views, co-authored with Konstantinos Trantopoulos, senior advisor and fellow at IMD Business School. The EU Grids Package is entering a key phase of trilogue negotiations. It will play an important role in defining Europe’s competitiveness, climate progress and energy security in the coming decades. The idea of software as energy infrastructure is the 21st century equivalent of the old line from Sun Microsystems, “The network is the computer.” In the 1990s, the world moved past simply increasing the capacity of individual computing assets, recognizing that interconnected networks yielded far more intelligence and superior outcomes. In an energy context, we now need to focus on coordinating an interconnected network of generation, transmission, storage and demand to deliver the reliability, sustainability and resilience we all want from the grid. We need to manage energy systems as a unified whole. Only software, including digital twins and AI, can accomplish this and scale to address the complexity, situational awareness and coordination challenges facing utilities, regulators and industrial end users across Europe. To enable this evolution, we need incentives, supportive investment models, standards and governance frameworks that elevate software beyond an overhead operational expense. Yes, we need more clean power generation, millions of kilometers of new transmission lines and upgraded distribution. But we also need to think about capacity more broadly, not just as a physical quantity but as the ability to understand and take action. For Europe’s grid of the future, let’s make sure we are making best use of the best tools available. That begins with treating software as infrastructure in its own right. #AI is creating a new set of possibilities for industrial automation - but in operational environments, innovation must balance trust, context, and control. That is why I’m especially interested in how AI can be applied to practical #HMI/SCADA use cases: helping system integrators accelerate development, enabling teams to interrogate historian data more naturally, identifying anomalies faster, and supporting maintenance and operations without compromising the safeguards critical infrastructure requires. On October 6, AVEVA will host AI for HMI/SCADA: Use Cases for Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations, where we’ll explore upcoming innovations including AVEVA Historian MCP and AVEVA AI Server, along with the opportunities and security considerations that come with bringing AI closer to industrial systems. I encourage you to join the discussion and see where secure, AI-assisted industrial operations are heading. 👉 Register: https://okt.to/K7W16c #IndustrialAutomation #IndustrialAI #HMI #SCADA #AVEVA
