Pipelineless AppSec. Developer-Native Workflows.
About us
Arnica is redefining application security by meeting developers where they work. With pipelineless, developer-native workflows, Arnica enables AppSec and engineering teams to collaborate in real time, fixing the right risks at the right time without slowing down development velocity. We go beyond visibility by delivering 100% code coverage from day one, contextualized risk prioritization, and automated mitigations directly in Slack, Microsoft Teams, pull requests, and issue trackers. Our platform includes free ASPM capabilities such as SAST, SCA, IaC, SBOM inventories, package reputation, license scanning, secret detection, and git hardening, so security teams get full visibility without cost barriers. Paid workflows turn that visibility into action with AI-assisted fixes and automation that shrink backlogs and prevent new risks in production. With Arnica, security teams become more productive than developers, a first in the industry. And now with the release of Arnie, our agentic enforcer, teams can go even further by embedding secure coding rules into AI agents and development workflows. Arnie ensures AI-generated and human-written code follows secure standards from the start, making security a default part of software creation.

Anthropic's data shows that 97% of Claude Code prompts get approved. 😶 Human reviewers caught a fraction of the dangerous commands a classifier caught. On August 14, Claude Code made auto mode the default, dropping per-action approval as the gate for new sessions. Gartner named Arnica in a First Take report tracking exactly this shift: permission governance for AI agents as its own category, separate from scanning the code they produce. Governance belongs at the source-control layer. A popup a developer clicks through in half a second isn't enough. #AppSec #DevSecOps #ASPM

This research shows why it's crucial to target the gaps and enforce policy on agent actions, keeping humans involved in the review process. Thanks for the mention Mark O'Neill!
What is the "Looks good to me!" problem? It's where developers are inclined to approve every agent action permission request. Anthropic found that developers approve 97% of permission prompts, but many of these "Looks good to me!" approvals can end up enabling dangerous commands. So Anthropic are making a change soon to Claude Code, to default to automated permissions. In our First Take about this important change, we provide guidance on what enterprises should do to maintain control and security. A pleasure to collaborate with Shiva Varma and Gary Olliffe on this Gartner First Take. https://lnkd.in/gagBHE8B (preview available, full doc for Gartner subscribers)

Don't miss this webinar to learn the right application security tool for the right job at the right time. 🗓️
AI is getting bolted onto every security tool, whether it helps or not. But truthfully, AI should enhance security workflows, not fully replace the methods that already work. Join Nir Valtman (CEO, co-founder of Arnica) and Josh Grossman (Application Security Specialist, OWASP AGHAST project leader) on Monday, July 27 at 11 am ET as they discuss where AI adds real value in AppSec, how to control costs, and where deterministic static analysis still wins. In this webinar, they'll dig into: - Hybrid SAST/SCA strategies for the most effective risk reduction - Managing LLM and token costs at scale - The open-source collaboration around OpenGrep and Aghast, a new open-source tool for AI-enhanced AST scanning
